I began my journey with a great love of all animals, I grew up living on a farm with horses. As I got older, I would love helping my dad take care of the horses as well as all the farm duties. Living in Ontario, I was the client with many pets (dogs, cats, and rats) and many trips to the vet clinic. I began to admire what the technicians did and how they treated me and my pets like their own. I thought to myself, "I would love to do this for a living."
I started working as a veterinary assistant at the clinic where all my pets went in 2007 and started tech school in 2008. I graduated in 2010 from Georgian College in Ontario. Every time I came to Nova Scotia to visit family, I would drive by PetWorks and think, "I would love to work in that facility, it's so big and fancy!".
I am interested in anesthesia and patient care. What I love most about my job is patient care for sure. It is so rewarding when a really sick patient comes in and we make them better. I truly love making a patient feel comfortable while in our care. I love how we are all family here and we have great respect for each other.
In my spare time, other than being a wife and a mother of two beautiful girls, I love running and fitness training. My first pet was a little Pomeranian Poodle cross named Pepsi.
